Student Organization Class Business
Information for CVM Student Organizations (including Class Business)
Any student club or group using CVM facilities should be officially registered with the University as a 'registered student organization' or RSO. If your group or club plans to do any fund raising (even if just to collect dues), your club/group should establish an 'agency account' in Student Life. Some clubs set up bank accounts off campus, but funds raised by the organization should be first funneled through an on-campus account. There are three basic forms to be filled out and they are listed below. Students seeking assistance should contact Dr. Sarah Abood or Ms. Linda Cleeves in the APSS Office (Room G-155).
The Department of Student Life registration process starts in mid-August. Once registered, RSOs can plan and sponsor activities on campus, apply for funding, and participate at numerous campus events. The deadline for annual re-application is usually by the last week in Sept. or first full week in October.
Registration paperwork and account application, along with the account signature card, can be downloaded from pdf files at:external-link
