Barackman is celebrating four years as an emergency veterinarian at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital of Ann Arbor.
Boccia successfully completed a shelter medicine internship at Cornell University in June 2023 and started a new job with Massachusetts SPCA as a shelter and community medicine veterinarian in July 2023.
On October 15, 2023, in Oslo, Norway, Bowerman was awarded the Lowell Thomas Award by The Explorers Club, an international professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration, and resource conservation. Named for broadcast journalist and explorer Lowell Thomas, this annual award is given to a group of outstanding explorers to recognize excellence in domains or fields of exploration.
Hentschl’s practice, Harbor Beach Veterinary Services, was named Agri-Business of the Year by the Michigan Cattlemen’s Association.
Cantor is celebrating practicing for 30 years at Westside Veterinary Center, the largest private practice in Manhattan. She is the sole owner and manager, and currently leads a team of 50 employees and 13 veterinarians.
Kellner has attained Board certification from the American Veterinary Dental College.
Landry was recently certified as a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care. She was awarded the Louise O’Dwyer Scholarship, which is given to an individual who aspires to push themselves, bettering both themselves and the veterinary world around them after obtaining their VTS.
MacCabe passed her passion for veterinary medicine on to her two daughters, both of whom have become successful veterinarians.
On July 20, 2023, at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Theriogenology, Meyers was awarded the 2023 Bartlett Lifetime Achievement Award, which is presented annually to a distinguished individual who has made important contributions to theriogenology. Meyers also received the 2023 UC Davis Distinguished Teaching Award for Graduate and Professional Teaching in the spring quarter of 2023, which is given to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in a broad range of teaching activities and mentoring.
Sawyer was chosen as the 2023 recipient of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA) Career Achievement Award. This award is intended to recognize an ACVAA Diplomate for accomplishments throughout a long career of outstanding contribution in advancing the art and science of veterinary anesthesia and/or analgesia.
