July 6, 2022 – We previously announced that we would be reserving our Brucella canis Antibody assay (90009) for export testing only due to a nationwide reagent supply shortage. Unfortunately, the test kits have been discontinued by the manufacturer and we are no longer able to perform this test.

For clinical cases, we continue to recommend the Brucella canis IFA assay (60067) which is an equivalent test. If testing is needed for canine import/export, the IFA assay may not meet importation requirements which can vary by country.

Due to nationwide reagent supply limitations, we are reserving our Brucella canis Antibody assay (90009) for export testing only. For clinical cases, we recommend requesting the Brucella canis IFA assay (60067) which is an equivalent test. Importation requirements vary by country and often require a specific test method. Please contact the Laboratory if you have any questions about which test to request.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your consideration and understanding.
