To provide our clients with the most stable pricing possible, every two years we review fees for each test and service we offer. We are in the final stages of this review and plan to publish new prices in January. Please watch our website and your inbox for more information, including a new fee schedule when it becomes available in late December or early January.
While many tests will see a nominal price increase, a significant number will remain the same. We make every effort to contain costs, and in the last two years, like many of our clients, we’ve experienced substantial increases in supply and labor expenses. As always, we do not charge accession or out-of-state fees for any service.
We know that many of our clients rely on us for endocrinology testing, and we are taking a creative approach to limit increases in endocrinology test costs. To best meet client needs and create cost-saving efficiencies within the Laboratory, a written interpretation of endocrinology results may be requested but will no longer be included automatically as has been done previously for a small number of tests. For cases for which a written interpretation is desired, please be sure to check the box for an Endocrinology Interpretation of Results (20020) on the submittal form. Please see our announcement about this change for a list of tests impacted and more details.
We make every effort to price our services fairly and competitively for our clients. As a public, not-for-profit laboratory, our tests and services are priced to meet our operating expenses. Our success is measured by how well we serve our clients, not by a balance sheet.
We remain committed to providing our clients the core diagnostics, expert service, and innovative solutions they’ve come to expect from our laboratory. Thank you for continuing to choose the MSU VDL for your diagnostic testing needs.
