
The Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine has been designated by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) as an official Fellowship Training Center in Minimally Invasive Surgery in Small Animal Orthopedics.
At the time of appointment, MSU is currently 1 of 3 academic institutions in the world offering this advanced training program.
The ACVS Fellowship is a highly specialized training that expands upon the surgical knowledge and experience obtained during the ACVS surgery residency. It serves to develop highly skilled surgeons who, in turn, will become recognized experts in a specific surgical field, after becoming diplomates of ACVS.
The MSU Veterinary Medical Center offers a wide range of minimally invasive surgeries, including:
- Arthroscopy for elective conditions
- Arthroscopy assisted fracture reduction
- Fracture fixation of bones and joints
