Katy Parker, LLMSW, is a licensed social worker originating from Jackson, Michigan. While completing her master of social work degree, she completed an internship working with children at the Jackson County Child Advocacy Center providing individual and group therapy. Post-graduation, Katy worked for a mobile crisis unit as a clinician in Port Huron, Mich. for three years, followed by working at an adult partial hospitalization program in Grand Rapids, Mich. before she joined the College of Veterinary Medicine at MSU.

With Katy’s multifaceted social work experiences, she has worked with a multitude of populations; including: children, teens, adults, and older adults. Katy has previous experience de-escalating crises situations, completing assessments, discharge and treatment planning, providing support and therapy to groups and individuals, person-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advocating for all clients.
