The Johnston Laboratory studies sexual dimorphism in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) & lipid metabolism in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Additionally, the lab focuses on developing diagnostic and therapeutic methods that will improve survival outcomes and quality of life in dogs and cats with hepatobiliary disease.
