The Sanders Laboratory is working to identify novel diagnostics and treatments for arrhythmias. To do this, the Laboratory is studying breed-specific echocardiographic variables in salukis using continuous Holter monitoring. Discovery thus far shows that body weight is associated with the majority of examined variables. In addition to the Saluki project, the Sanders Laboratory is working on projects evaluating arrhythmia as a diagnostic tool and antioxidants as a treatment for arrhythmia.
Robert Sanders, DVM, MS, DACVIM, is studying echocardiographic imaging options and arrhythmias.
