The College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University collaborates with programs across the university to offer majors for students interested in the veterinary profession.

Preveterinary Medicine is a non-degree granting major for students interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Students will have access to academic advisors employed by the College of Veterinary Medicine, as well as multiple non-academic opportunities available to them.

Our accredited Veterinary Nursing Program offers multiple degree options, including a Certificate of Completion and a Bachelor of Science degree.

The Enrichment Summer Program is a seven-week program that provides academic reinforcement to undergraduate students that are interested in veterinary medicine. The program’s goal is to introduce prospective students to the diverse careers available in veterinary medicine.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), and Michigan State University sponsor the Biomedical Research for University Students in Health Sciences (BRUSH) Summer Research Program at MSU for undergraduate and veterinary students interested in the biomedical sciences and research-related careers.
