Dr. Skelding did her undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Agriculture) at the University of Guelph where she majored in animal science. After a 6-month period of working on a large dairy farm in London, she returned to the University of Guelph to complete a Master of Science degree in dairy genetics. Immediately following its completion, Dr. Skelding entered the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Ontario Veterinary College and went on to pursue a rotating, small animal internship. Dr. Skelding returned to the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014 to pursue a residency in Anesthesiology and the associated Doctor of Veterinary Science degree. Dr. Skelding became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia directly after her residency program in June of 2018. For the next five years, Dr. Skelding has worked at an incredibly busy, multi-service small animal referral practice in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has also participated in equine research at the Ontario Veterinary College. Dr. Skelding joined the Anesthesiology Department at MSU CVM in January 2024.
