Bharadhwaj Ranganathan, DVM, MS, joined us as an assistant professor of soft tissue surgery with the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences on August 1, 2021.

Dr. Ranganathan earned his bachelor of veterinary science and animal husbandry at the Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Pondicherry University, India in 2012. Upon graduation, he worked as an assistant veterinarian at The Ark Veterinary Clinic in Chennai, India.

Bharadhwaj completed two small internships (Small Animal Medicine and Surgery) at the Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. He went on to complete a small animal surgical residency also at Oregon State in 2021.

Bharadhwaj's research interests include surgical oncology and cardiothoracic procedures. He has a strong passion for teaching and mentoring veterinary students and residents.
