Arturo Almanza III earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Michigan State University as a first-generation college graduate. After working as a sales manager for a few years, he decided to pursue a career in higher education. He started his journey at MSU working with the Office of Financial Aid as a Financial Aid Assistant and soon transitioned to a Financial Aid Officer.

Arturo joined the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in August 2023 as an Admissions Counselor. He then transitioned into the Recruitment, Admissions, and Scholarships Counselor role where he led DVM recruitment activities for prospective applicants, supported the admissions and selections process, and assisted with the scholarship-awarding process for current and prospective DVM students. After earning his Master of Arts degree from the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education program at MSU in 2026, he transitioned into the Admissions Data and Scholarship Counselor role, where he oversees admissions data reporting and internal scholarship awarding. He also serves as the the College's in-house Financial Aid Counselor.
