Lexy earned her master’s degree in anthrozoology from Canisius University and has a strong passion for animal welfare, community engagement, and supporting veterinary teams. Prior to joining the business office, Lexy worked as a CSR at the hospital’s North Emergency desk, where she gained valuable experience supporting clients and patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. Before joining the hospital team, she spent more than eight years as the Community Relations Manager at the Capital Area Humane Society, helping strengthen connections between the organization and the mid-Michigan community.

Through her professional and academic experiences, Lexy has developed a special interest in improving access to veterinary care within underserved communities, in addition to her graduate research focusing on compassion fatigue in animal welfare professionals. She values teamwork, compassionate communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting efficient day-to-day operations that help both clients and staff feel supported.
