Rebecca believes that veterinary medicine is most effective when it considers the whole animal—and the world they inhabit. With a background spanning specialty services and emergency medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, and conservation, she understands that providing exceptional care often requires immense resourcefulness.

Rebecca is passionate about the intersection of animal health and the environment. She applies this "big picture" lens to Community Medicine by bridging the gap between clinical excellence and the reality of limited funding. Rebecca is especially dedicated to student growth, teaching future practitioners how to provide compassionate, impactful care to underserved populations and animals across our community.

At home, Rebecca shares sharing her home with a dog, two cats, and a Sulcata tortoise. She is always happy to share a favorite wildlife success story or a tale of resilience from the field.
