Katelynn joined the College as an assistant professor (HP) of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care (EMCC) with the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences on September 1, 2021.

Dr. Youatt earned her bachelor of science at Michigan State University, where she majored in animal science with a biology concentration. She then continued at MSU and earned her DVM.

As a veterinary student at MSU, Katelynn worked as a student caregiver with the EMCC and in the veterinary pharmacy. In her most recent position, Katelynn was an associate veterinarian with the Animal Emergency Center Novi/Rochester and also with the Kibby Park Animal Hospital.
