Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of your graduation from the College of Veterinary Medicine! Reunion is a great opportunity to rediscover your alma mater and see all the exciting changes at both the College and the University since your time on campus. Join fellow veterinary and veterinary nursing alumni and friends as you reminisce and reconnect with classmates. Reunion will take place Thursday, May 7 – Friday, May 8, 2026.

This year, we are inviting you to participate in a special, new reunion tradition: joining the College’s 2026 Commencement Ceremony.

On the first day of the reunion celebrations, you are invited to campus on Thursday, May 7, for a full day of tours and activities across the College and University.

Then, on Friday, May 8, 2026, the Class of 1976 is invited back to help lead the procession of candidates during Commencement in honor of your 50th reunion. You will be garbed in academic regalia and will receive a commemorative 50th anniversary stole to wear and keep as a memento.

We hope you can join us for what will surely be a memorable two-day reunion celebration!

We invite you to fill out the Class of 1976 Memory Book to share what you’ve been up to since graduation! All members of the class of 1976 will receive a copy of the memory book.

To allow for printing, Memory Book submissions are due by Friday, May 8, 2026.

Time: 10 a.m. - Robing Reception at the College of Veterinary Medicine (food and beverages will be provided)
12:30 p.m. - College of Veterinary Commencement at Wharton Center

Room Block:

We will have a reunion hotel block at the Candlewood Suites located at 3545 Forest Road, Lansing, MI 48910. Our block will be from May 6 - May 9. I encourage you to book your rooms as soon as possible as this will be a very busy time at MSU and rooms will surely book up quickly for all the many commencement ceremonies taking place.

Be a Part of Your 50th Reunion Commitee!

Interested in joining the 50th Reunion Committee? As a committee member, you will work with members of the alumni engagement team as well as fellow alumni to plan a successful reunion celebration.

Your role would be to:

• Encourage classmates to participate in the reunion
• Help us conduct outreach via phone or email to invite classmates back to campus
• Contribute to music selection, photo sharing, and a guest list for faculty
