Dr. Magestro is originally from Northeastern Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania and moved to North Carolina for veterinary medical school. She graduated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM in 2014. Dr. Magestro completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas and then returned to NC State for her Radiation Oncology Residency, which she completed in July 2018 before coming to MSU.

Her interests include feline solitary site lymphoma, canine osteosarcoma, and oncology of exotic and farm animals. During her free time, she loves to bike and kayak.
