Dr. Keiko Miyadera is investigating gene markers of glaucoma in Shiba Inu dogs, which could eventually lead to a simple DNA test for the painful blinding disease.
In July, a group of theriogenologists from the College attended the 2025 Annual Therio Conference in Sacramento, California. Autumn Mendoza and Kara Mosier, both of the DVM class of 2027, presented posters at the conference.
Dr. Rachel Cezar-Martinez received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She is currently the Live Animal Imports Director in Veterinary Services with the United States Department of Agriculture – Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (USDA-APHIS).
Taylor Epp is the director of the Veterinary Nursing Program at the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Epp herself is an alumna of the Program and also has earned a master’s degree in educational technology from MSU.
