Most members of the DVM Class of 2024 arrived at the College with degrees in scientific fields—approximately 85 percent. Non-science majors were pursued by approximately 15 percent of the class.

Regardless of major, the class has diverse interests. Extracurriculars noted on their applications include sports, such as baseball, cross country, soccer, basketball, rugby, and water polo; political activism; scouting groups; and young professional organizations. They’ve worked in many fields, as well; job titles include harbor master assistant, recording artist, and chocolatier.

The DVM Class of 2024 also has collectively given many hours to charitable causes. Members of the class have volunteered for local food banks, therapeutic equestrian riding programs, service dog providers, hospices, animal shelters, disaster relief efforts, the Special Olympics, cancer centers, and other important groups and causes.
