The Faculty Excellence Advocate, or FEA, in the College of Veterinary Medicine supports faculty success by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion for faculty in all appointment types. Specifically, the FEA works with college faculty and leadership to promote a culture of consistency, transparency, inclusiveness, and objectivity in multiple aspects of the faculty career.

The CVM FEA works in the following areas:

  • Faculty hiring
  • Mentorship
  • Annual review
  • Reappointment and promotion
  • Workplace environment

The CVM FEA is available to meet with new and continuing faculty to discuss professional growth and development, mentoring, and access to college resources.

Various resources for faculty, including MSU Toolkits on Faculty Search, Faculty Mentoring, and Annual Performance Review, are available on InsideCVM.

The position of CVM FEA is currently filled by Dr. Brian Petroff.
