The DVM Class of 2020 did an excellent job on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) with a passage rate of 98 percent. (A rate of 80 percent is required by the American Veterinary Medical Association for accreditation.)

Under normal circumstances, students take the NAVLE at designated testing centers during predetermined testing windows. Many of these locations temporarily closed as a COVID-19 precaution, and, once open again, implemented strict safety and social-distancing protocols. Though the format of the test could not be changed to allow in-home testing, testing windows were expanded to allow everybody an opportunity to schedule their exam.
