Our first College Hour is this Friday, November 6 from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. in E100. All CVM faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend this community-driven event. Join us for fellowship, connecting, collaboration, and learning.

Our objectives are to share information about:

  • CVM administrative issues, state of the college, etc.
  • CVM Budget
  • CVM educational programs
  • CVM research programs
  • CVM outreach programs
  • Accreditation process, items of interest, are we ready for the next accreditation?
  • Curriculum
  • DVM and veterinary technology student selection process
  • Strategic planning
  • Diversity/Inclusion issues and programs
  • International programs
  • Introduction of new faculty and staff
  • Recognition of CVM award winners
  • Collaborative programs with other MSU colleges
  • Central campus issues of interest/importance
  • Items of interest from other federal and/or state agencies (MDARD, DNR, MDCH, USDA, DHS, DOD, etc.)
  • Items of interest from national associations/organizations (AVMA, AAVMC, NBVME, etc.)
  • Items of interest to academic veterinary medicine (AVMC Council on Education, student debt/salaries, cost of education, employment opportunities, education and teaching models, wellness issues/programs, etc.)
