The Yuzbasiyan-Gurkan Laboratory focuses on cancer genetics and treatments.

Vilma Yuzbasiyan-Gurkan, PhD, researches genetic diseases, cancer genetics, cancer treatments including anticancer vaccines and novel drugs in companion animals with translational importance to humans. She is also committed to training the next generation of scientists. Her funding sources include the National Institutes of Health and the US Department of Agriculture and foundations, including the Berner-Garde Foundation.
