Nanda-Joshi

A new collaboration on international programs is being launched by Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources’ Department of Animal Science (ANS).

Dr. Nanda Joshi will be leading the partnership and will be working with ANS and CVM to identify priority areas of international engagement, to cultivate cross department and cross college international opportunities, and to develop implementation strategies.

Joshi has several years of experience in international activities with his work at the World Technology Access Program (WorldTAP). This program develops international training programs, advisory services, and consultations in diverse areas. Previously, Joshi worked as a subject matter advisor to the Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC) under USAID/ATS project in Nepal. He also was influential in the development of the MSU Training Center for Dairy Professionals course, which provides international training opportunities as well as for MSU DVM students. He currently manages and coordinates several international short courses in Animal Agriculture and Food Safety. MSU International Studies and Programs recognized Joshi for his contributions with the 2015 Special Recognition Award for Promoting International Understanding.

Joshi will provide leadership and clear objectives for the collaborative effort, which will help provide connections and opportunities, along with helping to identify funds in order for interested students and faculty to achieve international research, teaching, and learning objectives.
