Robert Abramovitch has been selected by the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine as the recipient of the 2015 Zoetis Award for Research Excellence.

The Zoetis Award is a nationally recognized honor for a faculty member at each veterinary school in the United States. The award recognizes researchers whose innovative studies have advanced the scientific standing of veterinary medicine.

“We were impressed with the creativity and productivity in Dr. Abramovitch’s research targeting tuberculosis, a global problem in human and animal health,” said Dr. Susan J. Holcombe, chair of the CVM Committee on Graduate Study and Research, which selects the Zoetis Award recipient at Michigan State University.

The award will be presented during the CVM Phi Zeta Research Day Award ceremonies on Friday, October 2, 2015. Abramovitch will deliver a brief presentation on his research during the ceremony, followed by a question and answer session.

Abramovitch will be MSU’s nominee to the National AAVMC Award for Veterinary Research competition.
