Taylor Epp has been named director of the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine Veterinary Technology Program. Her appointment is effective as of September 1, 2017.
Epp is a licensed veterinary technician and has been an instructor in the Veterinary Technology Program since 2011. She is a graduate of the MSU Veterinary Technology Program and also holds an MA in Educational Technology from MSU. Epp began her career at the Animal Cancer and Imaging Center in Canton, MI, where she was a surgical oncology veterinary technician and also the director of the Center’s blood bank.
“Epp brings a wealth of educational technology and professional knowledge to the directorship,” said Julie Funk, associate dean of Academic Programs and Student Success for the College of Veterinary Medicine. “Her experience as an instructor and the expertise gained from the Adams Academy and her MA in educational technology will allow her to further align the Veterinary Technology Program with the College’s strategic plan and evolve the curriculum to meet the needs to today’s veterinary technology student.”
Epp succeeds Jolynne Judge and Helen Mayer, who successfully co-directed the Veterinary Technology Program for the past 2 years. They both return to the Program as faculty.
