Our DVM Class of 2020 Orientation included a tour of our facilities, a student and faculty panel, and team building activities. Rachel Baumgardner (Class of 2019) was there to capture day two of orientation for our incoming class.

Class Of 2020 Orientation — Chris Kuechle (Class of 2019) briefs the orientation group leaders on the day’s activities. They were about to begin an exciting day of teambuilding activities with the class of 2020!

Student Team — Jennifer Whitney (2018) and Susanna Haupt (2020) link arms to play a game called “Martian-Tiger Politician.”

Team Building — A group from the Class of 2020 band together to successfully raise a light aluminum pole together—without anyone removing their fingers or talking!

Intense concentration is required to transfer a small soccer ball from one person to another.

Lauren Van Dyken, Ashleigh Shoemaker, and Allyson Bobus Tucker (2020) share a laugh as they also take turns expressing their concerns and excitement about beginning vet school.

Tessa Adams and Zoe Johnson (2020) create a bridge to carefully pass the ball down the line. This was a great chance to work on supporting for one another.

One of our orientation groups shares their journeys to vet school with one another.

One of the games, “I Like People who Like…”, was a fun way for students to learn each other’s interests and hobbies. In this photo, students are scrambling to find others that share their interests.
