Boomer the kangaroo was taken to the MSU Veterinary Medical Center after a terrible accident. A strange dog frightened him and he ran into his enclosure, caught both his forelimbs, and suffered fractures in both. Thanks to the IRONDOG Fund and our Orthopedics team, he is feeling much better now.

IRONDOG raises money for animals whose owners cannot afford their medical care. There are times that treatment is available for pets, but their human companions face difficult decisions based on financial constraints.

IRONDOG was created in 2011 to promote healthy lifestyles through exercise while fundraising for a worthy cause. The IRONDOG Fund contributes a portion of the overall cost of care for patients that are selected on a case-by-case basis.
