Focus on Sustainable Growth
With a passionately global focus, the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine celebrated the successful completion of the inaugural public health initiative in Uganda.
On October 12, 2016, Henry Schein Animal Health launched their inaugural National Livestock Veterinarians Day. The company noted the necessity of veterinarians for an effective and safe livestock industry, and is taking time to recognize the wellness, prevention, and treatment they provide.
“Livestock veterinarians travel great distances and work long hours to protect the health of animals that play a critical role in our local communities and the nation as a whole,” said Fran Dirksmeier, president of Henry Schein Animal Health, North America. “From the work these animals perform, to the food, milk, and other products they provide, livestock health is deeply connected to our own. We at Henry Schein Animal Health created National Livestock Veterinarian Day to thank these dedicated health care providers for all they do to protect the health of animals upon which humans so heavily rely.”
In honor of all large animal veterinarians and our faculty who educate future large animal veterinarians, the College is featuring the following stories of our Spartans' success.
