Laurie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Michigan State University in 2013. She began her career in private small animal practice in Lansing, Michigan and remained there until 2015. She then moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where she made the transition into specialty medicine as an oncology technician from 2015–2018. Laurie moved home to Michigan in 2018 and returned to small animal practice. In January 2020, she continued her passion of oncology when she joined the Radiation Oncology Department as a Radiation Oncology Technician at Michigan State University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two golden retrievers.
