We are excited you have decided to transfer to Michigan State University to complete your pre-requisite courses for admission to MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Take your first step to become a Spartan and visit the MSU Office of Admissions website, where you will find everything you need to transfer to MSU, including:
- Transfer admissions criteria
- Important dates and deadlines
- A checklist of everything required with your application
- Instructions for completing your application and how to transfer your credits
Students that transfer in with more than 42 credits will not be able to select the preveterinary medicine non-degree granting designation and will be required to select a degree-granting major. You may select any major that meets your educational interests, as long as the prerequisite courses for admission to the DVM Program are completed.
We encourage transfer students to take advantage of the advising and resources offered by the College of Veterinary Medicine. These resources are available to students who are interested in the pursuit of a DVM to help them prepare for application to the Program. Contact our advising office to make sure you are enrolled in or have taken the courses that will meet MSU’s general education course requirements and the College of Veterinary Medicine’s prerequisite requirements for admission.
