Get Your MSU NetID

D2L, otherwise known as Desire2Learn and sometimes referred to as "Brightspace," is the online platform where all of your coursework will take place.

In order to access D2L, where part of your virtual orientation will take place, you first need to obtain your MSU NetID. Your NetID is an electronic identity at MSU and serves as your login to many university computing and networking services. It’s also how you get your MSU email address.

To obtain your MSU NetID, you will need your student ID number (APID) and your personal access number (PAN). These were provided to you after you were first admitted to MSU. If you do not have these, contact Admissions at admiss@cvm.msu.edu.

Follow these instructions to get your MSU NetID.

Note: Depending on your enrollment date, you may have already completed this step through instructions from our Admissions department.
