The Educator of the Year is selected by large animal diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Vanessa Cook has been recognized by her peers in the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine for excellence in teaching and continuing education in equine emergency and critical care medicine. She was presented with the Educator of the Year Award, sponsored by Zoetis, at the 2014 International Veterinary Emergency Critical Care meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 11, 2014.
Associate professor at the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Cook earned her Vet MB from Cambridge University. She received an MS from The Ohio State University and a PhD from North Carolina State University. She is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (UK) and a diplomate of both the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
