The College’s new mentorship platform, CVM Connect, launched in 2019. Since then, it has gained rapidly in popularity. One of the most tangible measures of success is the number of mentors and mentees enrolled in the Long-Term Mentorship Program.
“Mentorship is an essential part of education, and the number of long-term mentorships we have is testament to the impact of these relationships, both for mentors and mentees—the benefits are shared, not only in the experience and insights gained, but in the social interaction. In addition to the mentorships, we’ve hosted networking events, which have brought even more people together virtually. We’re looking forward to future expansion of CVM Connect, which will allow us to share its benefits with more of our community,” says Dr. Hilda Mejia Abreu, associate dean for Admissions, Student Life, and Inclusivity at the College.
