His commitment to mentoring has taken him to Mexico five times to help teach students as part of the Equine Welfare in Practice international trip.

Through a 7-year partnership with MSU, Nature's Kennel, a sled dog racing and adventure company, is able to get about 26 dogs spayed/neutered every fall. In return, MSU students get a unique opportunity to operate on working dogs who race and run tours.
